"Just died after 7 years. aboout 1 year ago cheesy plastic handle broke but called company 800 # and the sent me handle free + back-up and I got it in about 4 days and took maybe a minute to replace with no disassembly required.
Coppert tank ultimately corroded thru. A handy item and generally quite satisfied. Install is very easy."

DO NOT BUY!!

"We purchased the HOT-1 as part of a kitchen remodel in June 07. We have been very disappointed - very loud rumbling when heating up every 20 minutes, leaking around the gasket where it meets the countertop, and inferior plastic handle that feels like it will break at any time. We are fearful of a major tank leak under the sink! We are currently looking to replace with H-WAVE-SS for the stainless steel tank, quieter heating intervals and solid brass/metal handle. I would not recommend this product to anyone!"

broken handle

"I have used this product for a little over a year. The handle broke today. This is the first time I owned this brand instant hot water heater. This one is noisy and the handle braking in just a little over a year makes me think the product is inferior to the other brand, I owned for far more years."

I can't do without this!

"I've had one of these (exact same model) for over 6 years. I LOVE it! I had used one at my friend's house and immediately got one of my one. It was easily installed, and worked perfectly until it finally just died -- the element wore out. I think six years was a great life span and I had ZERO problems with it during that time. I just bought a new one and it is working great! I would recommend this to anyone that makes hot tea, instant soup or just likes to get boiling pots of water started ultra fast!"
